Mountain Collegium 2024 Workstudy Information and Application
Mountain Collegium offers a limited scholarship workstudy program for those who would like to participate but whose financial situation makes it difficult or impossible.
Recipients of workstudy awards will help with various aspects of the workshop according to their abilities. A few of the tasks include setting up rooms for classes, making copies for instructors, posting signage to help lost participants, assisting with check-in, assisting with moving people in and out of their dorm rooms at the start and end of the workshop, and serving as stage crew for the faculty concert. Some of these tasks are physically demanding. We do have spots available for those with physical limitations, but also need to make sure we have people to accomplish all of the workstudy tasks.
Mountain Collegium is a 501(c)(3) organization, and we accept donations to fund early and folk music workstudy applicants of all ages and ability levels. Please ask only for the minimum amount of aid that would allow you to attend the workshop; remaining funds will be used to help as many applicants as we are able. If we cannot accommodate your request and you determine that you are unable to attend, we will return your entire deposit with no penalties.
Maximum awards are for the amount of full tuition, but may be applied to room and board if the applicant also receives a scholarship from another organization. Workshop participants are also encouraged to apply for scholarships or grants through, Early Music America, American Recorder Society, Viola da Gamba Society of America, or your local early music organization.
Awards will be based on the number of applicants, their need, and the availability of funds. This application does not guarantee an award.
Please fill out the application below and submit electronically by May 24.
